Krapf Corporate Headquarters is located in West Chester, Pennsylvania.ExpectationsSupport Krapf vision and mission in all activitiesDemonstrate Krapf Core Values of commitment, open communication, respect and excellent serviceRepresent Krapf in a professional, business-like mannerComply with all Krapf employee and safety policiesPosition SummaryThis field position assists the Operations Manager, Transportation Assistant or Dispatcher with daily transportation functions including resourcing and monitoring, completion of paperwork, and addressing passenger relations issues within the framework of the company’s Operations Excellence Program.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesAccompany the school bus driver on the regularly scheduled route as approved and assigned by the school districtAssist the driver in managing student behavior to ensure student safetyAssist the driver with the loading and unloading of physically disabled or non-ambulatory students as neededAssist the driver with securing special seats, restraining devices or medical aids required by studentsAssist the driver with student emergencies and bus evacuation as necessaryMaintain confidentiality of student personal and medical informationOther work-related duties as assignedDirect ReportsNoneRequirementsQUALIFICATIONS:Must successfully complete any company, state, federal required training and recertificationAbility to effectively manage student behavior in a non-confrontational mannerAbility to manage vehicle and student emergencies in calm, appropriate mannerSuccessful completion of all background checks required by company or school district upon hire and ongoing requirementsEducationHigh School Diploma or equivalentPhysical RequirementsSitting for 4-6 hours per dayHearing adequate for general traffic conditions, traffic signals, emergency vehicles and monitoring and using vehicle communication equipmentRange of motion adequate for assisting students with boarding and exiting vehicle and for securing students for transportAbility to climb steps of bus and sufficient mobility to access vehicle emergency exitsAbility to push & pull with up to 40 lbs. of force Safety Sensitive StatusThis job is considered Safety-Sensitive and incumbents are subject to random substance, drug and alcohol testing.This job description supersedes all previous job descriptions and like documents.
