Job Summary:
2nd Shift M-F 3:15p-1:45a
Machinist is responsible for several duties at Exactec, including fabricating both finished parts and parts that complete finished goods through the use of both CNC equipment and hand machining equipment. Interpreting drawings and setting up machinery to specification to complete parts per spec required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Read blueprints and instructions to fabricate parts per spec.
Setting up CNC per work instructions and understands G codes for machine set up.
Utilize both manual and automated equipment to safely manufacture parts.
Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job
Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain quality and identify issues
Measure and check parts for quality and correctness.
Select appropriate machines (e.g. Router table or CNC) and position or load material for a job.
Clean and maintain equipment and work area.
Ensure fabrication is being completed in the safest most efficient method.
Communicate any issues to supervisor.
Maintain and count inventory as needed.
Other task as requested by supervisor.
Review samples, drawings, or instructions to understand specifications of output
Quality and safety driven.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of experience as a CNC machine operator
Experience working with machining equipment
Can read and understand G codes
Proven experience working with machining equipment. CNC routers, CNC saws, hand routers, drill press, edgers, joiners, buffers, table saws etc.
Ability to read measuring equipment. IE. Tape measures, calipers etc.
Responsible and trustworthy.
Quality and safety driven.
Working knowledge of MS Office.
