Currently STORIS has an opening for an entry level Front-End Web Developer with a passion for web development, a strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and a desire to grow their skills in a collaborative, supportive environment. This position is based in our corporate office located in Mount Arlington, New Jersey. Responsibilities: Support: Collaborate with other FE developers and web designers to translate design mockups into interactive and responsive web pages. Write basic clean, well-structured and responsive HTML, CSS, jQuery, and JavaScript code to implement user interfaces and application features. Has basic knowledge of how to optimize web pages for maximum speed and scalability, to assist in ensuring high performance across different devices and browsers. The ability to assist in conducting thorough testing and debugging of front-end code to identify and resolve issues. The ability to communicate effectively with team members to understand project requirements and timelines and provide regular updates on progress. Assist on 3rd party applications installations Assist Sales department in client demonstration. Troubleshoot and resolve client issues. Technical support: Troubleshoot and resolve client issues. Assist in maintaining website uptime goals. Improve website performance. Learn additional modules of the core STORIS and NextGen software. Make training & documentation updates. Learn to perform Plugin Upgrades and Framework Upgrades. Become familiar with all eCommerce hosting environments. Perform website installations, copies, launches and migrations. Assist Sales department in client demonstrations. Assist on 3rd party application installations. Requirements: Basic proficiency in HTML, CSS, jQuery, and JavaScript. Base understanding of front-end frameworks and libraries such as React.js, Vue.js, or AngularJS. Base familiarity with version control systems such as Git. Some experience with responsive design principles and frameworks such as Bootstrap or Foundation. Base knowledge of back-end development technologies such as Node.js, PHP, or Python. Base understanding of web accessibility standards and best practices. Basic familiarity with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma). Familiarity with server-side rendering and SEO best practices. Understanding of web accessibility standards / techniques and ADA guidelines. Some previous experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal). Basic experience and demonstrated knowledge with SQL, IIS, Web Hosting (including DNS, SSL, redirects), Basic Networking, eCommerce. Gain a baseline understanding of Nopcommerce platform and the eSTORIS built plugins/ certified plugins. Looks to work collaboratively in a team environment and is adaptable to changing project requirements. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts. Up to 15% travel may be required. Additional Skills a Plus: Backend Web Development Experience WordPress / nopCommerce Experience Previous experience with APIs Experience with React.js and ASP.NET Demonstrated experience on WordPress development Experience with Google Analytics Advanced knowledge of IIS and PowerShell, ability to improve performance based on settings A portfolio showcasing your web development work.
