For more information and to view our product catalog visit www.ipscorp.com.About the Role:In this Collierville, Tennessee based position, the Director will work within our Diversified Products division to set the strategic direction for the future of the distribution center operations and logistics. Reporting to the VP of Operations, they'll establish and meet operational goals for the Distribution Center, Domestic Inbound Transportation, and Outbound Transportation. They'll also interact with our two other IPS operating companies on a regular basis.This analytical and innovative leader will drive sustainable improvements to support rapid growth as well as our long-term business strategy. They'll work to continuously optimize service to a wide variety of customers by engaging with various stakeholders improving operational metrics, refining processes, and removing waste from operations.They'll use superb business judgment, have experience with distribution center operations and freight management, and have strong skills working collaboratively and cross-functionally with the 3PL, Customer Service, Information Technology and Supply Chain. Candidates must possess a proven track record of delivering results in a Lean / Continuous Improvement environment, have strong analytical capabilities, including experience handling large and complex data sets.The candidate should have strong people management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple layers of management across a 24/7 operation. They should also be able to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a demanding environment with strong attention to detail and effective prioritization.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for the overall warehouse execution including receiving, shipping, OTD, cycle counts, and DPMO. Liaise with the 3PL to drive improvements in these key areas.Develop the annual strategy deployment plans and key performance indicator (KPI) targets linked to business objectives that drive system improvements to support customer requirements.Develop, manage, and optimize inbound/outbound freight budget with the skills to drive freight analytics and improve efficiencies.Implement and monitor vendor SLA’s and accountability.Ensure full compliance with International, United States and Canadian laws related to import and export activities, including compliance with HTS product classification.Liaise with Customer Service and ensure the Sales Force Portal is updated with accurate ship dates.Develop and implement strategies to optimize the logistics network for existing and new businesses.Demonstrate capability to develop and lead large projects.Collaborate across the Supply Chain to improve on-time performance, inventory levels and reduce cost.Liaise with IT and maintain full working knowledge of the Distribution Center IT systems / platforms. Provide guidance and support to operations and IT staff as needed.Education and Experience Requirements:We're looking for a teammate who thinks and acts like an owner, leads with humility, and values learning as much as winning.
