We are passionate about attracting top talent that will relentlessly innovate and continue to help our double-digit revenue and profit growth trajectory.As a Software Engineer you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of new systems and services to support BuildASign’s growing eCommerce business, as well as maintaining and upgrading existing websites and APIs that have been crucial to our success.Along the way, you get the time and resources to learn and grow your skills through training opportunities and personal lab days where you get to play with and work on anything that interests you.Key ResponsibilitiesApplies the principles of software engineering to the evaluation, design, development, testing, and maintenance of computer software and implements design patterns where appropriateDiscovers opportunities for improvement, makes recommendations, and helps the team identify and implement solutions with the highest business valueConfidently navigates complex relational databases in SQL and associated backends. Understands the ecosystem of both traditional and headless CMSConstantly learns and recommends new technologies and engineering trendsResponsible for implementing frontend and backend solutionsWork with the product owner to capture and refine requirementsNavigate mockups, styling specs, and collaborates with stakeholders for UI /UX enhancementsAvailable for on-call production support on a rotating basisParticipate in Scrum ceremoniesTo be successful in this role one must demonstrateCollaborative temperament, enthusiasm, and ability to work independently to resolve issues. Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsQualificationsBachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Computer Science or related field5+ years of professional software engineering experienceExpert in HTML, CSS, JS (experience with React and SASS is a plus)Experience with C# and razor views (.NET Core), and SQLUnderstanding of traditional CMS and headless CMS systems (wordpress, DatoCMS)Comfortable developing RESTful APIs and MVC web applicationsGood understanding of SOLID principles and design patternsDeep understanding of balancing between scalable and sustainable coding practices and UX vs delivering quick business results.
