Bring yourbig ideasknowing you are safe to be who you are and speak up with concerns or questions and put your diverse talents and perspectives**The Opportunity**Lead communication designs and coordinate with other disciplinesCreate conceptual and detailed systems designs, including producing design drawings, specifications and design analysis deliverablesCoordinate with a BIM/CAD team for drawing productionPerform quality control duties and independent technical reviewsManage assigned budgets, scopes and schedulesMentoring and providing guidance/instruction to less experienced staff membersOther potential duties:May perform fieldwork and write assessment reportsMay assist with creation of design guides and templatesMay provide support to business development or pursuit activitie**Preferred Qualifications**As part of this role, you will be assigned to projects supporting U.S. Government Agency/Department clients. Due to the nature of the work, candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. The following are preferred qualifications:Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, EIA, TIA, BICSI industry standards, codes and best practices related to the design of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), low voltage, and telecommunications systemsStrong knowledge of structured cabling systems from a safety and constructability perspectiveStrong knowledge of inside plant (ISP) cabling infrastructure to include telecommunications spaces and pathways, copper, and optical fiber cabling and connectivityExperience in outside plant (OSP) design of copper and fiber optic communication systemsExperience in audio-visual (AV) system design4+ years of experience designing applicable telecommunication systems**Minimum Qualifications**All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all ofthe following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.**Certifications**+ Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification(required)+ Certified Technology Specialist-Design (CTS-D) certification (preferred)**Salary Plan**ENS: Eng & Technical Specialties**Job Grade**016**Nearest Major Market:** Olathe**Nearest Secondary Market:** Kansas City**Job Segment:** CAD, Drafting, Engineer, Engineering
