Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED. Six months of advanced clerical are required. Completion of college coursework may substitute for the required work experience on a month-for-month basis. Must be able to work all shifts and/or weekends.

POSITION SUMMARY
A Court Records Specialist 2 performs specialized clerical, records-processing, and public contact work in the Central Depository Department. Employees in this classification may provide technical guidance to subordinate clerical or specialized staff and/or perform non-supervisory work requiring considerable knowledge of departmental procedures, regulations, and applicable Florida Statutes related to child support, alimony, case records, payments, and disbursements. Work requires accuracy, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to interact effectively with the public, the courts, and internal staff.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in records processing, case maintenance, customer service, or clerical support in a court or legal environment is preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs specialized clerical work in support of the Central Depository Department.
Processes case-related documents, payments, disbursements, adjustments, correspondence, and other records in accordance with established procedures, regulations, and applicable Florida Statutes.
Provides information and assistance to the public, attorneys, litigants, state agencies, and internal staff regarding case records, payment processing, and departmental procedures.
Reviews records, forms, and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with departmental requirements.
Maintains and updates case information in applicable systems and ensures timely and accurate processing of assigned work.
Assists in resolving discrepancies involving payments, account records, and case-related documentation.
Provides technical guidance, workflow support, and quality review of court order entry performed by subordinate clerical or specialized staff, as assigned.
Performs specialized clerical duties requiring knowledge of Central Depository operations, office procedures, and statutory requirements.
Assists with scheduling, file maintenance, records management, and other administrative support functions, as needed.
Verifies newly entered court orders in eClerc completed by subordinate staff to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with departmental procedures and applicable court requirements.
Provides support in the court order section and assists with quality control to ensure timely and accurate case entry and verification.
Performs other related duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of clerical procedures, records processing, and public contact practices.
Knowledge of departmental procedures, office practices, and provisions of Florida Statutes relevant to the Central Depository Department.
Ability to process records and documents accurately and efficiently.
Ability to provide technical direction or guidance to clerical support staff, when assigned.
Ability to communicate effectively with the public, staff, courts, and outside agencies.
Ability to maintain accurate records, perform detailed clerical work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Duties may require extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, reviewing files, entering data, and interacting with the public and staff. The position may also require handling files, records, other routine office materials, and occasional light lifting of up to 10 pounds.
