Private Equity Associate - Industrials (2027)
About the Role:Blacklock Group is partnering with a well-established private equity firm based in New York to identify an Associate (2027 start) for its Industrials investment team. The firm focuses on investments across the industrials sector, partnering closely with management teams to drive operational improvements and long-term value creation. The team operates in a collaborative, hands-on environment, offering significant exposure to senior leadership and portfolio company executives. This role provides the opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility across the full investment lifecycle.Key Responsibilities:Build and maintain complex financial models, including LBOs, operating models, and transaction analysesConduct in-depth industry research and competitive landscape assessments across the industrials sectorLead due diligence workstreams and coordinate with external advisors (consultants, accountants, legal)Prepare investment memoranda and materials for internal committeesSupport deal structuring, negotiation, and executionPortfolio Management:Monitor portfolio company performance, including financials and key operating metricsSupport management teams on strategic initiatives and operational improvementsAssist with add-on acquisitions and exit processesQualifications:2–4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or transaction advisoryPrior experience in industrials strongly preferredStrong financial modeling and valuation skillsetExcellent analytical, communication, and presentation abilitiesHighly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
