Financial Reporting Client Testing & Training Consultant, Equity Programs Remote (EST preferred) Salary: $125, 000+ NegotiableTravel: Up to 10% (Industry, Client & Team Events) THE ROLE:We are seeking a Financial Reporting Client Testing & Training Consultant to support client-specific testing, validation, training, and issue resolution during a large-scale equity platform migration and financial reporting transformation project. While also supporting a large-scale equity platform migration and transformation initiative involving financial reporting, equity administration, reporting outputs, client testing/training, data validation, reconciliation, product support, and platform readiness. Candidates may flex across workstreams depending on project needs, strengths, and client priorities THE PURPOSE OF YOUR ROLE / THE VALUE YOU DELIVER:This role ensures clients can trust and understand their financial reporting outputs. The consultant will test reports and scenarios, validate outputs, identify gaps, support client-specific issue resolution, and translate complex financial reporting and equity concepts into clear guidance and training KEYS TO SUCCESS:Strong understanding of stock-based compensation expense, deferred tax, diluted EPS, 10-K disclosures, IFRS reporting concepts, and ESPP accountingAbility to test client-specific scenarios rather than only standard workflowsStrong analytical and troubleshooting mindset for reporting outputs, system behavior, and data differencesAbility to explain complex FR and equity concepts clearly to clients, plan administrators, product teams, and non-technical stakeholdersPrior product, platform, equity administration, testing, training, accounting, or client-facing financial reporting experience THE WORK YOU'LL DO:Develop, execute, and support client-specific financial reporting test cases and scenarios.Validate reports and outputs related to stock compensation expense, deferred tax, diluted EPS, disclosures, ESPP, and international reporting considerationsIdentify, document, troubleshoot, and help resolve reporting differences, system behavior questions, and client-specific exceptionsPartner closely with Product, FR Migration PMs, Report Builder, Admin Testing, Admin Data Recon, Accounting, Tax, and client stakeholdersSupport client training, demos, office hours, issue reviews, and knowledge transfer sessionsTranslate complex reporting concepts into practical process guidance, testing instructions, and user-facing explanationsTrack defects, questions, client feedback, and recurring themes to inform product and process improvementsSupport readiness, adoption, and confidence as clients transition to new financial reporting workflows THE EXPERTISE WE'RE LOOKING FOR:At least 3+ years of financial reporting, equity accounting, stock plan administration, testing, training, or implementation experienceHands-on exposure to ASC 718, deferred tax, diluted EPS, disclosures, IFRS 2, ESPP, or equity reporting outputs strongly preferredExperience creating or executing test cases, UAT, regression testing, client acceptance testing, or training materials preferredStrong presentation, communication, documentation, and client service skillsEquity platform experience preferred, including Shareworks, Equity Edge Online (EEO), Fidelity, Schwab, Certent, Carta, or similar systemsCEP, CPA, accounting, training, or product/testing credential preferred but not required THE RIGHT FIT:Consummate professional with a service mentality and a commitment to delivering Peace of Mind to internal, external, and client partnersExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex topics clearly to technical and non-technical audiencesAble to complete multiple tasks in a timely manner, independently and with minimal supervisionExceptional time management, prioritization, organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-throughCompliance-focused, process-oriented, analytical, flexible, and comfortable in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environmentStrong troubleshooting, analysis, data management, and issue-resolution skillsAble to maintain strict confidentiality while exercising judgment, diplomacy, and discretionAble to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Payroll, Finance, Accounting, Tax, HR, Product, Technology, Operations, and Client teamsAligns with company core values of Integrity, Opportunity, Passion, Excellence, and Teamwork ROLE-SPECIFIC SCREENING QUESTIONS:Have you created or executed client-specific financial reporting or equity platform test cases?Have you validated outputs for ASC 718 expense, deferred tax, EPS, disclosures, IFRS 2, or ESPP reporting?Have you trained clients or internal teams on financial reporting, equity administration, or platform workflows?Can you describe how you would handle a client who says a migrated report does not tie to their legacy system?
