Murphy, McKay & Associates (MMA) is looking for a part-time Level 1 Relocation Technician to join our growing team and help support tech moves for some of the most exciting companies in the Bay Area. Whether you’re early in your IT journey or looking to gain more real‑world experience, we provide training and support to help you succeed.What You’ll Be DoingAs a Level 1 Relocation Technician, you’ll support the physical relocation of IT environments. Your days may include:Assisting with the disassembly and reassembly of desktops, lab equipment, and occasionally serversPerforming asset inventories and documentation, including data entry, using company‑provided tabletsDisconnecting and reconnecting equipment according to established proceduresCompleting tracking forms, QA checks, and job documentationApplying login scripts and passwords when neededWorking alongside a Relocation Supervisor or Lead to ensure each move goes smoothlyEvery project is a little different, and you’ll work in a variety of client environments throughout the Bay Area.What We’re Looking ForWe don’t require certifications for this role. What matters most to Murphy, McKay is reliability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Ideal candidates will have:Related work experience (IT, technical support, or hands‑on tech work is a plus)Basic Windows knowledge and familiarity with setting up or configuring workstationsThe ability to read technical procedures and communicate clearly in EnglishComfort with basic math (counts, percentages, and simple calculations)Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as neededAbility to use a mobile scheduling app for assignmentsPhysical & Work EnvironmentThis role is active and hands‑on. You’ll work in office spaces, warehouses, labs, computer/server rooms, and multi‑building campuses. The job includes standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting equipment (up to 50 lbs occasionally).
