Our team believes in supporting and enriching our community through engagement; whether that means giving back to our troops, veterans and their families, investing in next generation innovators through STEM education, or higher education initiatives, giving back is an important part of who we are as a team.We are united by a unique culture and commitment to provide the highest quality products to those who serve.POSITION PROFILE:The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the electrical layout, design, documentation and test of hardware reliability and performance for thermal and other camera systems for use in U.S. Military products.RESPONSIBILTIES:Design lead responsibility from product concept to production supportDetail schematic design including power conditioning, signal integrity analysis and high speed video data transferComponent placement and electrical layout for size/space claims of high density PCBsGeneration of engineering documentation including schematic drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings and BOMSAssembly and test of prototype hardwareWHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:BSEE or equivalent + 1-3 years of electronic HW development experienceExposure to analog and digital design with mixed signal interface and conversion circuit knowledge and the ability to specify components and/or sub-assembliesPrevious exposure to Digital Video Processing and High Speed Communication SystemsExperience with power conversion for high efficiency, high reliability, battery-powered systemsExperience with PWB layout, packaging, and test of low-noise, mixed-mode circuitryStrong design, debug, and troubleshooting skills with solid hands-on lab experience using oscilloscopes, logic/spectrum analyzers and other test equipmentExcellent written and oral communication skills are essential.U.S. citizenshipFamiliarity with ITAR regulationsDetail oriented and strong organizational skillsProficiency in MS Office Suite of programs, including MS Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel requiredIDEALLY, YOU'LL ALSO HAVE:* Familiarity with Altium PCB design software* Proficiency at soldering common surface mount componentsEEO STATEMENT & ACCESSIBILITY:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role.EOE/AA/M/F/Vets - US Protected Individual status required (US citizen, lawful permanent resident, asylee, refugee or temporary resident (as defined at 8 USC 1160(a).
