If so, you'll have the opportunity to transform the way companies work by leading a dedicated team of Systems Engineers at Nutanix, where you'll play a crucial role in solving complex customer challenges and drive meaningful technology solutions.About The TeamThe Sr. Manager, Enterprise Systems Sales will be part of the Systems Engineering & Solution Sales organization, which is composed of over 800 customer-focused technical sales professionals. This team operates primarily in the North region and is dedicated to identifying and matching technology opportunities with customers' business objectives and challenges. The team culture is collaborative and consultative, with members acting as experts in their field, fostering deep relationships with customers and channel partners to drive successful technology implementations and training.You will report to the Sr. Manager of Systems Engineering, who embodies a leadership style focused on empowerment and mentorship, fostering an environment where team members are encouraged to take initiative and innovate. This role is fully remote, allowing for flexible work arrangements, and while there is no specific requirement to go into the office, occasional in-person meetings or events may be scheduled.The position requires approximately 30% travel within the region, allowing for face-to-face interaction with key customers and channel partners. This travel may include site visits, presentations, and participation in industry events, ensuring that the manager stays connected with the team and the wider customer base.This position is remote but requires candidates to reside in Seattle or San Francisco (Bay Area) to be close to customer sites.Your RoleSupport the field SE team in complex evaluations, troubleshooting, and challenging customer environments.Recruit, hire, and mentor new Systems Engineers, fostering their professional development.Serve as an escalation point for pre-sales and post-sales technical issues in the territory.Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and channel partners.Act as a floating Systems Engineer, filling in for existing team members during resource conflicts or vacations.Ensure ongoing channel enablement and collaboration with technical teams of channel partners.Manage Systems Engineers in the territory, overseeing expenses and conducting quarterly check-ins.Achieve established sales objectives and contribute to the team's revenue growth within the first year.What You Will Bring5+ years of experience as a Sr./Pre-Sales Systems Engineer.2-3 years of pre-sales management experience.Deep knowledge of virtualization and storage markets with strong design capabilities.Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.Proven leadership qualities with a humble approach and a proactive mindset.Ability to effectively troubleshoot in complex customer environments.Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time within the region.Work ArrangementRemote: This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs.The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 253,600 and USD $ 380,400 per year.However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
