We develop around 90% of our training internally, and partner with a variety of renowned providers to supplement our offerings.Essential Job Functions:Safely maneuver and operate a 16'-18' box truck through residential streets and tights spacesComplete daily residential routes picking up clothing, small furniture and other household itemsUnderstand local streets and complete routes and any other assigned stops efficientlyUnderstand how to use and follow GPS directionsComplete all required daily paperwork including vehicle inspection, delivery reports and maintenance formsAssist other drivers with workload when neededResponsible for ensuring that trucks are clean, swept and ready for use at the start of another shiftChecks vehicles to ensure proper safety and work conditions are in compliance with Savers policies and State lawsEmployment is conditional on receiving a DOT Medical Card, passing a pre-employment drug screen as well as having a Motor Vehicle Report without any violations or accidents within the last three yearsPerform other duties as assignedWhat you have:Working knowledge of the assigned metro areasWorking knowledge of DOT, OSHA, state and Savers safety regulations and requirementsDemonstrate professional interpersonal relationship skillsDemonstrated strong customer service skillsDemonstrate skills showing initiative, personal responsibility, and accountabilityMust have prior driving experience, excellent knowledge of the roads in assigned areaStrong working knowledge of managing two-way communications and operating GPS toolsDemonstrated organization skillsDemonstrated customer service skillsAbility to operate a 16'-18' box truck independentlyAbility to complete a high volume of stops dailyAbility to communicate orally and in writingAbility to multi-task several incoming and outgoing truck loads at any one given timeAbility to create drivers logs and reportsAbility to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formAbility to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and recordsAbility to set priorities, meet deadlines with flexibility, and multi-task with minimal directionAbility to be detailed-orientedMust have valid driver's licenseMinimum Required Education, Training and Experience:* 2-3 years' experience driving a 16'-18' box truck preferred* 3-5 years clean driving recordPhysical Requirements:Ability to consistently/daily lift up to 70 lbsAbility to pull or push a pallet jackAbility to stand frequently throughout the dayAbility to climb in and out of a truck frequently as job dictatesFLSA: Non-ExemptTravel: Related to position only within geographical area and essential functions or other areas as assignedWork Type/Location: Varies on geographic area of roleSavers is an E-Verify employerShare: share to e-mail
