Job Title: Mammography Technologist I Location: Greenfield, WI 53228 Duration: 05/29/2026 - 08/27/2026 Shift: 1st Shift (Varied Day Shift) Schedule: 5 days/week, 8 hrs/day, 40 hrs/week Pay Range: $60-$65/hr. Schedule Notes: Varied first-shift schedule No weekends required No on-call Not a float position Scrubs required; no open-toed shoesWork Setting: Breast Imaging / Mammography Required Skills & Experience Mammography and breast imaging experience Knowledge of radiation safety and OSHA guidelines PACS experience Patient preparation, positioning, and education Image quality assurance and quality control Mammography equipment operation and troubleshooting Ability to identify normal anatomy, physiological variations, and pathology during imaging Experience with EPIC, Radiant Information Systems, and mammography reporting systems Infection control and sterile technique knowledge Strong communication, teamwork, multitasking, and customer service skills Preferred Skills & Experience Minimum 1 year of mammography experience Education Required Completion of an ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology program Preferred 1-2 years of college coursework or a degree in Radiologic Technology or a related clinical field Required Certifications & Licensure ARRT Registered Technologist (RT) ARRT Mammography Certification (ARRT-M) required within 12 months of hire American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire Job Summary Performs mammographic and breast imaging examinations according to departmental protocols and established safety standards. Responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring proper patient care and positioning, maintaining image integrity within PACS, operating mammography equipment, supporting quality control activities, and assisting radiologists and healthcare providers during breast imaging procedures. Key Responsibilities Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations Position patients and provide procedure education and instructions Produce and archive high-quality diagnostic images Maintain image accuracy, identification, and PACS integrity Operate mammography equipment and report equipment malfunctions Perform PACS reconciliation and exam documentation Schedule patients, review orders, verify patient history, and complete exam workflows Support routine quality control activities and department operations Assist radiologists and healthcare providers during imaging procedures Maintain exam room cleanliness, infection control standards, and supply inventory Complete required documentation, reconciliation, and patient records accurately Provide support and education to coworkers, students, residents, and new staff
