BORE MACHINE OPERATOR

Responsibilities Operate bore machines and associated heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, and tankers to perform drilling tasks efficiently. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Follow detailed project plans and specifications to accurately drill underground pathways for utilities or infrastructure. Coordinate with construction teams to prepare sites, set up equipment, and execute drilling operations according to schedule. Maintain precise records of drilling activities, equipment usage, and safety checks for documentation and reporting purposes. Adhere strictly to safety protocols and environmental regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment. Assist with auxiliary tasks such as site preparation, material handling, and supporting other heavy equipment operations like paving or horizontal drilling when needed. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment including bore machines, excavators (Caterpillar preferred), dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, and horizontal drilling machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly. Construction site experience with familiarity in underground utility installation or similar projects. Valid commercial driver’s license with experience driving heavy vehicles such as dump trucks or water trucks. Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and construction environments. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and quality.
