This is more than a front-counter role. You’ll work closely with our pharmacists, clinical staff, and external partners to keep patient care moving smoothly — and you’ll have real opportunity to grow within the pharmacy.ResponsibilitiesServe as a primary point of contact for patients, caregivers, prescribers, and insurance representatives — in both English and a second languageHandle incoming and outbound calls with professionalism, including prior authorization follow-ups, refill coordination, and patient status updatesProcess and verify patient information, specialty medications, and prescription orders with a high degree of accuracyManage point-of-sale (POS) transactions and reconcile beginning and end-of-day reportsCoordinate specialty medication deliveries and ensure proper handling documentationLiaise with insurance companies, case managers, and specialty hubs to resolve coverage and benefits issuesIdentify workflow issues and escalate or resolve them proactivelySupport the pharmacy team with administrative tasks and maintain compliance with specialty pharmacy standardsRepresent New Lots Pharmacy’s values in every patient and partner interaction QualificationsBilingual — fluency in English and Spanish (or another language) required Required SkillsStrong customer service skills with a compassionate, patient-first attitudePrior pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, or healthcare administrative experience preferredComfortable managing high call volume and multiple priorities without losing attention to detailFamiliarity with pharmacy software and insurance/prior authorization processes is a plusReliable, punctual, and a true team player
