Job Description Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Technician I (Night Shift)Location: Elk Grove Village, ILSchedule: 5:45 PM - 6:15 AM | 12-hour continental shift (3 days one week, 4 days the following, off every other weekend; overtime may be required)Shift Differential: +$2.00/hour shift differential depending on experienceEmployment Type: Full-Time---OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Technician to support maintenance operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.---Key ResponsibilitiesFollow all plant safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and safe equipment operationRead and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentationTroubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including PLCs, motors, contactors, and relaysUse diagnostic tools such as multimeters to test and verify system functionalityPerform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipmentMaintain and repair equipment such as chillers, pumps, compressors, and related systemsIdentify root causes of equipment failures and implement effective solutionsDocument maintenance activities, parts usage, and repairs in CMMS systemsAssist in maintaining spare parts inventory and organizationOperate shop equipment such as band saws, mills, and lathes as neededSupport continuous improvement initiatives and maintenance best practicesMaintain safe working conditions and use required personal protective equipment (PPE)Perform additional duties as assigned---QualificationsExperience in industrial manufacturing or military maintenance environments requiredHands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipmentKnowledge of PLC troubleshooting and industrial motor controlsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and schematicsExperience with extrusion, printing, lamination, slitting, or related equipment preferredAbility to operate a forklift (or willingness to be trained)Comfortable working in physically demanding environments (lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, bending, etc.)Ability to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesWillingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed---BenefitsMedical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysEmployee assistance programs and wellness resourcesTuition reimbursementLife, disability, and supplemental insurance options---Equal Opportunity EmployerWe are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where all employees are respected and valued.
