Director, Business Development (Remote - US)Be among the first 25 applicants.Overviewebbo is seeking a results‐oriented Director of Business Development who will be an integral member of our team. This is a sales role focused on generating leads, building relationships, and closing deals. This is an individual contributor role and will not have direct reports. The ideal candidate is a strategic hunter across multiple sectors, with proven results in Retail, CPG, Hospitality, and Services. A background in loyalty, customer engagement, or monetization programs for brands is a plus.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProspect into companies to uncover business development opportunitiesScope out solutions after listening to client objectivesUtilize existing relationships to gain meetings and opportunities with key stakeholdersWork with resellers or intermediaries to broaden our sales reach and networkCollaborate with internal product, client services, creative, technology, and legal teams to develop the best possible solutionsPresent appropriate solutions to advance opportunities and close salesNegotiate deals, obtain internal deal sign‐offs, and work with legal and product teams to configure agreements and statements of workWin business and transition relationships post‐sale to client services, product, and technology teamsUtilize Sales Management tools to track sales efforts, conversations, meetings, proposals, and contractsTravel is required – anticipated 15% of the timeSkills and Experience3-5+ years of proven sales successProven track record of exceeding sales targets and winning large, strategic dealsExperience selling customer loyalty/engagement/experience/monetization solutions is a big plusHighly resourceful, goal‐oriented self‐starterStrong interpersonal skillsExcellent organization, initiative, follow‐up, and communication skillsTactful persistence with clients and not afraid of sellingPatience for a sometimes‐longer sales cycle with detailed follow‐upAbility to articulate a strategic solution and deliver winning presentationsAbility to quickly respond to opportunities and manage multiple prioritiesDemonstrated success selling to senior and C‐level executivesPerks and BenefitsUnlimited PTO, closing every Friday at 2pm (all year round) and a paid week off between Christmas and New Year'sBenefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, Safe Harbor 401K plan with a 3% contribution from ebbo, 100% vestedAnnual bonus and merit increasesDEI Program and Wellness Program with great prizesAnnual training budget and in‐person collaboration opportunities for every teamOpportunities for mentorship and growth (career trajectories for employees)Commission eligible in addition to base salaryBase SalaryThe base salary range for this position is $80,000–$95,000.
