ACT - Advanced Care Technician CNASolana Beach, CA $48,800 - $56,100 a yearJob Type: Full TimePosition OverviewThis role involves working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide essential patient care and comfort across various age groups, including infants, pediatric, and adult populations. The position supports daily patient needs and contributes to a safe and clean healthcare environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain a safe, clean work area adhering to safety and infection control protocols.Offer comfort and assist patients with daily activities and meals as needed.Record and report vital signs and patient observations such as temperature, pulse, weight, and fluid intake/output.Clean and prepare medical equipment, reporting any issues promptly.Assist with patient transport when necessary.Prepare formula in the NICU department as required.Qualifications and ExperienceFor ACT: Preferably 3-6 months of experience in an acute care setting.For ACT-Float: Preferably 1 year of acute care experience.NICU department requires a minimum of 2 years CNA experience, with pediatric experience strongly preferred.Basic computer skills and proficiency in English are required.Familiarity with electronic charting is preferred.EducationMust hold one or more of the following upon hire: Certified Nurse Assistant certification, Licensed Vocational Nurse license, military Corpsman experience, or be a nursing student who has completed fundamentals including initial assessment and vital signs.CertificationsCurrent BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required upon hire.NVCI certification within 90 days of hire or transfer is required for specific departments.Completion of at least 10 continuing education hours related to work annually is required in lieu of licensure maintenance.All candidates must successfully pass a physical exam, drug screening, and background checks prior to employment.
