Lead High-Visibility Retail Builds Across National FootprintsTRC Talent Solutions is partnering with a nationally recognized general contractor specializing in large-scale retail construction to identify a Construction Project Manager. This role will oversee big box retail projects from preconstruction through closeout, driving execution across aggressive timelines and multi-site rollouts.SummaryThe Construction Project Manager will be responsible for managing ground-up and renovation projects for major big box retail clients. This individual will lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and field coordination, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget. The role requires strong leadership, client-facing communication, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.ResponsibilitiesManage full lifecycle of big box retail construction projects (ground-up and remodels)Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecastsCoordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to ensure project milestones are metLead project meetings with clients, architects, engineers, and internal stakeholdersEnsure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and quality expectationsReview and approve RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay applicationsIdentify project risks and implement mitigation strategiesTravel to job sites regularly to oversee progress and resolve field issuesRequirements5–10+ years of construction project management experienceProven experience managing big box retail, commercial, or large-scale construction projectsStrong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and cost controlExperience managing multiple projects simultaneously across different locationsProficiency with project management software (Procore, MS Project, or similar)Willingness to travel up to 75%Preferred QualificationsExperience with national retail clients and multi-site rolloutsBackground in ground-up construction and large-scale renovationsFamiliarity with fast-track construction schedulesDegree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related fieldOSHA certification or strong safety program experienceCompensation & BenefitsBase Salary: $100,000 – $135,000 + bonus potentialPer diem and travel accommodations providedCompany vehicle or vehicle allowanceFull medical, dental, and vision benefits401(k) with company matchOpportunity to work on nationally recognized retail projects with repeat clients
