Position Summary
The Business Relationship Specialist is responsible for developing and managing client relationships from initial contact through project scheduling. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people, understands construction or home services, and is comfortable guiding clients through the sales and estimating process.
Reporting directly to the owner, this position plays a critical role in lead generation, networking, estimating support, and customer follow-up to ensure a strong and consistent sales pipeline.
This is a commission-based role with growth potential as the business scales.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Client Relations
Respond promptly to new leads via phone, text, and email
Schedule and conduct on-site estimates and client consultations
Build trust with homeowners, business owners, and referral partners
Present estimates professionally and follow up to close projects
Maintain ongoing communication with clients through the pre-project phase
Networking & Business Development
Represent B Sharp Painting at networking events and referral groups (e.g., BNI)
Actively generate new leads through relationship-based outreach
Track and demonstrate ROI from networking and marketing efforts
Support community presence and referral partnerships
Estimating & Project Coordination
Gather project details, measurements, and scope information
Collaborate with the owner on pricing and proposal preparation
Schedule projects in coordination with production availability
Assist with pre-project walkthroughs and expectation setting
Marketing Support
Assist with social media content ideas, client testimonials, and project highlights
Help maintain brand consistency in client communications
Support local marketing initiatives and referral campaigns
Qualifications & Skills
Experience in sales, construction, home services, or a related field preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Comfortable with relationship-based (consultative) selling
Organized, self-directed, and results-oriented
Familiarity with residential or commercial construction is a strong plus
Comfortable using basic technology (email, CRM, estimating software, social media)
Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally
Compensation Structure
Commission-based compensation: 8% of net profit with opportunity to increase to 10% after 6 months based on performance and sales goals.
Networking fees paid by the company with active participation
Mileage reimbursement for travel outside the standard service area

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $500.00 - $1,000.00 per week
