Accountabilities
Lead and evolve the privacy legal governance framework, aligning with U.S. and India requirements
Advise on healthcare privacy, data security, and compliant data use
Build scalable privacy programs and implementation guides
Serve as primary legal advisor on high-risk data uses and privacy assessments
Integrate practical privacy reviews into core business processes
Draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements
Determine legal standards for data protection and vendor diligence
Manage legal responses to privacy and data security incidents
Support regulatory audits and inquiries on privacy matters
Advise on AI governance and emerging technologies
Monitor developments in privacy and technology law, translating them into business guidance
Support privacy integration during acquisitions and organizational growth
Requirements
Active license to practice law
6-8+ years of privacy and data security experience, preferably in healthcare or technology
Strong knowledge of U.S. privacy and data security laws, including HIPAA/HITECH, CCPA/CPRA
Proven ability to develop and operationalize privacy governance frameworks
Experience managing diverse contract types including BAAs and SaaS agreements
Experience in leading privacy and data security incident response
Familiarity with regulatory audits or examinations by state or federal regulators
