Sr. Network Engineer II
Overview:
In this role you design, implement, and safeguard Melaleuca's global network as part of a collaborative IT team. You'll drive high-level planning, rollout, and optimization to support a scalable, reliable infrastructure. You'll mentor peers on new technologies and coordinate with stakeholders to align network capabilities with business goals. Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and support network projects with risk assessment and migration documentation
- Provide guidance on traditional and software-defined networking strategies and best practices
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements and resolve systems issues
- Configure and support Cisco routers, switches, wireless, WAN devices, and remote access
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies to meet business needs and educate peers and leaders
- Create and maintain up-to-date technical documentation and configurations
- Monitor global network for outages and performance issues and tune as needed
- Perform preventative maintenance on devices including updates, scheduling, and testing
- Coordinate with carriers for circuit turn-ups, sizing, outages, and migrations
- Manage tasks and projects to meet OLAs/SLAs and participate in on-call rotations
- Promote teamwork and cross-group collaboration
- Stay current with emerging network technology trends
Key requirements:
- 6+ years of hands-on networking and troubleshooting experience 5+ years of router/switch technology and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, MPLS, EIGRP)4+ years supporting LANs/WLANs/VPN/NAT/DHCP3+ years with network security products/protocols (IPS/IDS, IPSEC VPN)
- Experience with Cisco Next Gen Firewalls and FTD 7.X preferredCCNP preferred
- Experience with network monitoring platforms (e.g., Solarwinds, Splunk, ThousandEyes, AppDynamics)
- Experience with Cisco Nexus 9k/7k/5k, ISR, ASRExperience with Meraki wireless
- Demonstrated leadership and strong communication skills
