Core Responsibilities:Handle all telephone and mail communications related to delinquent consumer loans, mortgages, and business loans.Create and maintain a collection file for loan accounts that were processed by the Collection department.Create, verify, and mail appropriate delinquent notices according to the established method.Process bankruptcy notices.Receive and process returned check payments.Process "Intel-a-check", transfer and check payments.Review, analyze, update, create monthly report for delinquent loan payments, paid ahead loans, loan with interest due, delinquent real estate taxes, water/sewer charges and expired insurance coverage.Commence and continue collection process for loans with delinquent real estate taxes, unpaid water/sewer charges, uninsured collateral, including telephone calls, delinquent notices, skip tracing, monitoring, and acquiring data.Commence and continue collection process for accounts with negative balances.Resolve complaints from members and non-members in a professional and courteous manner.Keep Supervisor informed of all action on delinquent accounts and attempts at collection.Make, or recommend adjustments, assessments and corrections for loan accounts.Assist management and other departments to resolve loan issues.Represent Credit Union in court, government agencies and at collateral sites.Deliver superior customer service through the use of established Service Standards.Perform other duties or responsibilities, as required or assigned.Requirements:2- year associate degree in finance or related field. Post- graduate coursework includes intermediate accounting, computing and finance.2 years of experience in accounting, collection, lending, or customer service - preferably with a financial institution.Pay: $20.00 - $27.77 per hourAN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYEREqual Opportunity Employer
