Curriculum and Assessment Specialist
Provides support to the Office of Academic Affairs Pre-Clinical Education department by facilitating OMS I and OMS II curriculum with an emphasis on assessments. Works closely with COMP counterparts on daily curriculum activities. This position reports to the Lead Curriculum Coordinator, Pre-Clinical Education and works closely with the Director of Pre-Clinical Education.

1. Excellent computer skills necessary to set up document formats in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook and any other software programs required by this position.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact in a friendly, cooperative, and appropriate manner with administration, faculty, staff, students and external stakeholders.
3. Excellent problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent ability to organize and prioritize workload in order to meet necessary deadlines. Able to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
5. Ability to handle detail-oriented assignments and be flexible with job assignments.
Required Qualifications
1. Education: Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities needed for the position. AA or higher preferred.
2. Experience: 2-4 year clerical office experience.

Key Responsibilities
Assessment Functions:
Works closely with course directors within course deadlines to create, edit, and finalize: assessments, exam question submission forms, test challenge forums, and remediation materials. Collaborates with Lead Curriculum Coordinator to prepare and maintain spreadsheets and databases related to student grades, course statistics and educational outcomes. Assists as needed to process and submit grades and grade changes to the course or system director, COMP administration, and the Registrar.

Collaborates with the Pre-Clinical team to produce appropriate reports related to student performance, exam reliability, course outcomes and item analyses. Assists as needed to maintain exam question banks and track learning outcomes.

Classroom Support Functions:
Coordinates with Pre-Clinical faculty and staff to provide classroom support for the Northwest campus including processing room reservations, data entry and maintenance of OMS I and OMS II curriculum calendars, scheduling webcast recordings, facilitating in-class quizzes, day-of classroom set-up and technical support, and serving as a lead proctor for exams and examination review periods.

Customer Service Functions:
Monitors and responds to faculty and student emails through Outlook and the department ticketing system. Works closely with the University’s Center for Disability (CDHP) to provide testing accommodations to approved students.
