The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful web design as well as ability to create semantic, responsive, cross-browser mark-up.Break Down of Work:Designing and implementing a modern, easy to use, customer friendly website for the Governor's Office of Early Childhood Education – 80%Gathering requirements and prototyping – 20%Requirement Description:Conceptualize original website design ideas and execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-offCreate wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideasCreate standards-compliant, cross-browser and cross-platform implementationOptimize applications for maximum speedCreate quality mockups and prototypesMandatory Requirements/Time:At least 5 years of experience in the following areas are requiredDemonstrable visual design skills with a strong portfolio and proven work experienceExperience designing and implementing modern, easy to use websitesExtensive experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, BootstrapSolid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site mapsProficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design and wire-framing toolsProficiency in HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and JavaScriptProficiency with browser testing and debugging as well as user acceptance testingAbility to solve problems creatively and effectivelyUp-to-date with the latest trends, techniques and technologiesExcellent analytical and multitasking skillsBS/MS in human-computer interaction, interaction design, visual arts, computer science, or relevant field
