Claims Support Administrator - Subrogation

SummaryThe Claims Support Administrator will support the continued growth and operational effectiveness of the Claims Department, with a primary focus on subrogation recovery efforts, liability investigations, and claims administration. This role will assist in identifying recovery opportunities, coordinating investigations, reviewing damages and liability exposure, and supporting the resolution of auto, workers’ compensation, and general liability claims.The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, analytical, organized, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment. This position requires strong communication, documentation, and investigative skills, along with the ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, Accounting, vendors, claimants, and third-party partners.Job DescriptionSupport and administer company-wide subrogation recovery effortsReview claims, incident reports, repair estimates, and supporting documentation to identify recovery opportunitiesCoordinate with Maintenance Departments, body shops, vendors, and third-party repair facilities regarding damages and repair estimatesAssist with liability investigations related to auto, workers’ compensation, property damage, and general liability claimsCommunicate with claimants, customers, employees, witnesses, vendors, and insurance representatives to gather information and support investigationsPrepare and process liability determination letters and claims-related correspondenceSecure and organize documentation necessary for timely claims resolution and recovery effortsReview incident reports for accuracy, completeness, and proper documentationIdentify questionable, high-risk, repeat, or potentially fraudulent claims and escalate concerns appropriatelyMaintain detailed activity notes, diaries, and claim documentation within claims management software (currently MDI Claims 360 Manager)Process claims-related payments and invoices through WorkdayGenerate monthly claims and risk trend reportsAssist with identifying loss trends, recurring damages, operational risks, and prevention opportunitiesDevelop and maintain strong working relationships with Operations, Sales, Maintenance, Accounting, and external business partnersParticipate in department meetings, investigations, and operational review discussionsAssist with incident investigation training and claims-related process improvements for Supervisors and Operations teamsMaintain confidentiality of all claims records and sensitive informatioManage difficult or escalated claimant/customer interactions professionally and effectivelyPerform other duties as assignedRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent requiredPrevious experience in claims administration, subrogation, insurance, risk management, fleet, or related administrative support preferredStrong understanding of claims handling, liability review, and investigative processes preferredAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly ExcelStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writingAbility to work effectively with all levels of employees and external partnersStrong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasksAbility to work independently and within a team environmentAbility to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in sensitive situationsTravel as neededHourly: $25.00 - $30.00BenefitsCompetitive wagesComprehensive benefit package Medical, Dental, Vision401KLife InsurancePaid Vacation and Sick TimeCareer planRecognition programsProfessional development learningAn exceptional work environmentAthens will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance and any other applicable state, federal or local laws.
