DevSecOps Engineer

Role: AWS Cloud Native DevSecOps Engineer Location: Reston VA- (Candidates ONLY from DC, MD, VA) Remote with 1 weekly, biweekly, or monthly meeting in Reston office with 1-day noticeNote: Preferred- Recent Health Insurance ExperienceThe responsibilities include execution of full life cycle activities in support of multiple DevSecOps tools which will include but not limited to:·        Work directly with the architect, principal lead engineer, and other team members on design and implement tasks.·        Plan and build roadmaps for the EKS and AWS DevOps Implementation.·        Build Applications with EKS and AWS best practices·        Accountable for meeting milestones.·        Conduct code review, unit, and integration testing.·        Document system design and unit testing information·        Automation of manual stepsDay to Day Activities:·        AWS and EKS operations·        Build the Agreed App that leverages EKS, and Cloud native concepts, and implements them in production.·        Retrospect on the current implementation and document for future use. Cloud Native tools.·        Administer AWS console where Cloud Bees Agent exists on the EC2 instance.This position is a long-term contract position and is primarily remote, however, meetings do occur at our customers Reston VA office. We are seeking candidates who can drive to Reston VA for meetings with a day notice.Required Skills:10 years of overall SW Engineering expertise, with 5+ years of SW Engineering experience within the following:· Hands-on with EKS and AWS.·        Hands on with Python, Shell scripting·        Have hands-on skills with Cloud Bees, Bitbucket, Sonar, Artifactory, Cloud Native Practices. Wide breadth knowledge of development and testing best DevSecOps practices.·        Outstanding knowledge in Continuous Integration (CI), Testing (CT), Security and deployment (CD) concepts. ·        Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence·        Apply engineering principles to improve resiliency, performance, efficiency and scalability of the DevSecOps eco system·        Find opportunities and build automation to reduce team-s interdependency·        Linux administration·        Windows administration·        Excellent documentation skills
