Program Coordinator
Position Description: The Program Coordinator supports implementation of the tax program through coordination of specific activities, training and supervision of seasonal staff, and site management. This role is primarily based out of Prosper Center South and includes working some weekday evenings and one Saturday per month.
Primary Duties/ Responsibilities
Participate in tax program planning
Support tax program operations
Update and develop program materials
Coordinate specific projects as assigned by the Tax Program Manager
Train and supervise seasonal staff – learn about our seasonal positions at https://bit.ly/taxseasonjobs
Coach and support volunteers
Provide one-on-one support to tax program clients, including tax preparation and general inquiries
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish required
Strong customer service skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure and patience under pressure
Ability to work in a team while also handling independent responsibilities
Proficiency with technology and knowledge of computer operations and software (e.g. Microsoft Office and Google Drive applications)
Maintain IRS tax certifications and continually expand tax knowledge (training provided)
Working Conditions/Physical Environment: Position requires sitting with extensive keyboard use, may include long periods of standing and walking when managing a tax site, and may include carrying materials and supplies for site setup.
Compensation: $24.00/hour
