Full-Stack Software Engineer

About Even PlatformsEven is building a network of autonomous factories that manufacture the component parts inside every rocket, jet, drone, submarine, and munition in the US arsenal. We combine software, robotics, and manufacturing processes into a replicable system that we are copying and pasting across the country. By doing so, we are reindustrializing America's most critical supply chains with faster, cheaper, and higher quality manufacturing. We're launching our mission with our first facility in Austin, Texas. Here we are designing the systems that will be replicated in factories across the country. We will also use this system to power a Factory-as-a-Service model that delivers complete factories to vertically integrated defense manufacturers.Even is backed by leading investors that have conviction in our ability to rebuild the US industrial base including Khosla Ventures, Quiet Capital, Link Ventures, and Alumni Ventures. The RoleYou'll be on the core team of software engineers building EvenOS, the software layer that runs our entire autonomous factory. A quote flows into a schedule, the schedule routes a job to a CNC machine, a robot carries work to the machine, the machine streams back spindle telemetry, the part gets measured at micron accuracy in a CMM, and those measurements flow back upstream to make the next cut better. It's one connected loop, and it's always learning. This is full-stack work that requires you to spend your time on the factory floor interacting directly with users of the software. What You'll DoScope, architect, build, and ship full-stack software across EvenOSWork on software close to the physical world: machines, sensors, robotics, manufacturing workflows, and 3D/CAD/CAM dataEngage directly with machinists, operators, and CMM technicians to understand problems and turn them into shipped softwareBuild alongside a lean team of engineers and operators designed to move fastDeploy into a live manufacturing environment, watch what breaks or slows people down, and improve it quicklyHelp build the software and processes that let us replicate this factory model across the USWhat We're Looking ForExcited to work in a high-stakes environment with quick iteration cycles. You want to build fast, and you want it to matter. We're building the manufacturing capacity behind rockets, jets, drones, ships, and other critical systems. Work where speed, quality, and reliability have real consequences. You can take ownership from idea to deployment and bias towards actionThe kind of ownership that comes from treating this like it's yours, because it will be.2+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping real products.Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer ScienceWhat Will Set You ApartStartup experience where you’ve built in a high-autonomy environmentBackground with industrial systems that need high performance and reliabilityMachine learning and computer vision experience.Bonus: experience with computational geometry, 3D graphics, CAD/CAM, simulation, robotics, or hardware-adjacent softwareCompensation & BenefitsBase salary: $120,000 – $160,000This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
