The St. Louis Area Component Engineering Team is seeking an Early Career Electrical Component Engineer with experience in Obsolescence Management. This role involves working on legacy programs as well as future aircraft, weapons, and technologies.Required Skills & QualificationsKnowledgeable of basic electronic components (resistors, capacitors, diodes, inductors, transformers, connectors, integrated circuits, etc.) and how to research alternate components using data sheets and other Internet resourcesStrong evidence of ability to work as part of a team and familiarity with working within a hierarchical organizationGood writing and communication skills with a focus on attention to detailUnderstanding the concept of obsolete parts and evaluating alternate partsPrior work experience at a client or in the client's industryApplicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2Preferred Skills & QualificationsExperience in any military aerospace disciplineComponent evaluation experience with industry/military standards (SAE, Mil-specs, ASTMs, IEEE...)Experience with component level design and part selection, including both "from scratch" designs and searching for alternate part substitutions within an established system/circuitDay-to-Day ResponsibilitiesApplies engineering knowledge of electrical and electronic components in evaluating alternate replacements of obsolete partsConducts proactive obsolescence forecasting and monitoring using Component Monitoring and Surveillance Tools, Predictive Obsolescence Systems, OEM/Supplier surveys, etc.Monitors Government-Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP) alerts and provides obsolescence status reports to the programs and Department of Defense (DoD) customersCompany Benefits & CultureCollaborative and innovative work environmentOpportunities for professional development and growthComprehensive benefits packageFor immediate consideration please click APPLY to begin the screening process with Alex or share profile at Preeti.Sharma1@artech.com
