Mirakl's global Commercial Legal team is composed of high-performing, tech-savvy business lawyers who partner closely with Sales, Alliance, and Customer Success to advance and protect business goals, structure commercial agreements, and tackle issues at the cutting edge of technology, eCommerce, adtech, and financial services. This team moves fast, thinks creatively, and is leaning into AI to do it better.Your ImpactDraft, review, and directly negotiate a variety of commercial agreements including SaaS/cloud service agreements, data processing agreements (DPAs), security schedules, reseller and distribution agreements, partner and referral program agreements, confidentiality agreements, RFPs, business associate agreements, and order formsNegotiate with key customers, partners, suppliers, and resellers across the Americas, with support for APAC as neededCollaborate with Sales, Finance, Marketing, and HR to support US operations and the Boston officeCounsel Sales and Field Finance teams on best practices and support them as a trusted business partnerDevelop creative, compliant solutions to complex business challengesPartner closely with the global Commercial Legal and company-wide legal teamsHelp design, build, and deploy AI agents and automation tools that streamline legal workflows - from contract review to internal knowledge managementUse AI tools actively in your day-to-day work to move faster, draft smarter, and identify patterns across agreements What You'll Bring to the RoleJuris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school or equivalent, qualified to practice as in-house counsel5-8 years of experience in the software-as-a-service industry, with direct negotiation of SaaS and IT transactional agreements with enterprise-level customersPrevious in-house legal counsel experienceAbility to negotiate agreements without a playbookWorking knowledge of privacy frameworks including GDPR, CCPA, and PIPEDA; comfortable negotiating DPAsExperience with indirect sales and partner programsExcellent communication skills - concise, clear drafting for both legal and non-legal audiencesResourceful and comfortable managing a high-volume workload across competing priorities and tight timelinesThrives in a diverse, international organization with stakeholders across cultures and time zonesHands-on experience using AI tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) in a legal or professional context - and genuine curiosity about where AI is taking the practice of lawBonus: experience building or contributing to AI agents, workflow automations, or legal tech tools LanguagesEnglish: Professional proficiency requiredBelow you will find the reasonably estimated annual On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for this role. OTE reflects total target compensation, reflective of base salary and variable compensation (e.g., commission or bonus). Your starting compensation within this range will be based on your relevant skills, experience, and education, with any future adjustments informed by role scope, performance, and internal pay equity.
