Distribution Center - Inventory Control Associate

The company is headquartered in Exton, PA with large distribution facilities in Atlanta, GA and Salt Lake City, UT.Our MissionJW Pepper distribution center is hiring to fill several positions in order processing and inventory stocking. This is a full-time position, 40 hours a week. All applicants must be flexible to accommodate seasonal overtime needs, which include some evening and Saturday hours. Starting wage $16.00 an hour. Applicants must successfully pass all pre-hire screenings, including background checks and drug tests.Job DescriptionThe inventory control position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory. Associates are responsible for tracking and allocating inventory as it comes into the warehouse, handling damaged and defective product appropriately, taking active and preventative measures to prevent errors and discrepancies, research product movement and history within the warehouse and communicate with management with issues and recommendations. In an effort, to provide the highest level of customer service, all warehouse associates will be cross trained to be proficient in the areas of order fulfillment, quality control and shipping, and other basic warehouse functions.Job ResponsibilitiesDaily stock put awayDaily cycle countingDaily restocking and reslotting of productMaintain and update accurate inventory recordsReporting and solving discrepancies between physical counts and computer recordsFollow all inventory management proceduresProduct kit creationAssist receiving when neededMust meet production standard during peak seasonAdjusting found, unexplained and returned product to inventoryFollow all safety protocols and guidelinesFollow company policies as outlined in the employee handbookMaintains cleanliness of work areaRequirementsMathematical and analytical skillsCritical thinking and problem solving skillsAttention to detail and organizational skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsSchedule flexibility to accommodate seasonal overtime requirements including weekend workAbility to work under pressure with strong motivation and a sense of urgencyPhysical strength – Must be able to lift 30+lbsPhysical stamina – Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of timeMust be capable of twisting, stooping, squatting and reaching above shoulder level crouching on a frequent basisAbility to use inventory programs PH and EBS to update counts, adjust records and compile reportsOperate an RF scannerForklift experience beneficialPerform other duties as assigned or requestedWe will be partnering with Elwood Staffing on the hiring for this position.
