Job DescriptionJob Title: Engineering Manager (Defense & Space Systems)Pay Rate: $100,000-$150,000kLocation: Middletown, OHStart Date: ASAPJob Type: Direct HireKeywords: #EngineeringManager #RFEngineering #Aerospace #Defense #MicrowaveEngineering #SystemsEngineering #Leadership #DoD #SpaceSystemsJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary engineering team including RF, Electrical, Mechanical, Software, and Systems Engineers, as well as PCB Designers and TechniciansOversee day-to-day engineering operations to ensure teams are optimized, motivated, and delivering high-quality solutionsDrive improvements in engineering processes, methodologies, and workflows to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product qualityFacilitate cross-functional collaboration and resolve technical and resource conflicts across teamsChair design reviews, lead technical sessions, and enforce engineering best practices and standardsSupport Bid & Proposal (B&P) efforts including cost estimation, technical writing, and solution development for defense and space programsEngage with clients to assess project feasibility and build strong technical relationshipsManage full employee lifecycle including hiring, coaching, performance management, and professional developmentREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor"s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related field8+ years of engineering and/or systems experienceProven experience managing or leading technical teams in a fast-paced environmentStrong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:Background in RF and/or Microwave engineering within aerospace or defense industriesExperience working with multi-disciplinary engineering teamsKnowledge of engineering development processes for mission-critical systemsExperience supporting DoD or space-related programsStrong understanding of performance management and engineering operationsPREFERRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:Experience leading teams supporting military or space-based communication systemsFamiliarity with radiation-hardened systems or ruggedized tactical hardwarePrevious involvement in proposal development and technical sales supportExperience driving continuous improvement initiativesAdvanced degree in engineering or related fieldIf you are interested in this role, please apply via the apply now link provided.
