Sales Estimator (Inside Sales)

STS Technical Services is hiring a Sales Estimator to support a growing manufacturing operation in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This is a strong opportunity for a detail oriented and technically skilled professional who understands manufacturing processes and thrives in a fast paced production environment.If you can read blueprints, understand cost drivers, and translate technical specifications into accurate quotes, this role puts you at the center of sales and operations alignment.Position OverviewThe Sales Estimator supports the sales team by preparing accurate, competitive, and timely quotes based on customer specifications and manufacturing requirements. This position works closely with production, engineering, and sales teams to ensure pricing reflects true cost, labor, and material inputs.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare accurate and timely sales quotes based on customer drawings, specifications, and project requirementsReview technical documentation to determine scope of work and manufacturing processes requiredAnalyze labor, materials, overhead, and production time to develop competitive cost estimatesRead and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to support accurate quotingCollaborate with sales and production teams to clarify specifications and resolve discrepanciesSupport continuous improvement of estimating processes and cost modelsPerform secondary operational or administrative tasks as needed to support daily business operationsRequired QualificationsPrior manufacturing experience requiredTechnical experience in a production or industrial environmentExperience with cost estimating and pricing modelsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawingsStrong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost structuresProficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelPreferred Skills and CompetenciesAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsCritical thinking and analytical problem solving abilityEffective communication skills and ability to collaborate cross functionallyAbout STS Technical ServicesSTS Technical Services is the staffing arm of STS Aviation Group.
