Hardware Engineer
Job DescriptionBAE Systems is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to support the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) SecureView Program Management Office. This role requires a skilled, technically knowledgeable person that has experience with hardware systems, components, and environments. The candidate must be able to handle multiple tasks in a team environment.Responsibilities IncludeDesign, develop, integrate, test, and support hardware systems and components in secure environmentsMaintain and support hardware infrastructure including servers, storage arrays, networking equipment, and embedded systemsPerform hardware troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions on desktop and server systemsConduct hardware upgrades, component replacements, firmware updates, and system configuration changesInterface with local customers and provide hardware-related support to quickly resolve issuesApply relevant compliance standards and security controls to hardware platformsAttend planning and requirements meetings with engineering teams, Program Managers, and customersRequired Education, Experience, & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Hardware Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum 5 years of experience in hardware design, systems engineering or equivalent experienceExtensive knowledge of x86-based hardware architectures and Intel processor platformsDemonstrated hands-on experience with digital/analog circuit design, PCB layout, and embedded hardware developmentExtensive experience performing root cause analysis and troubleshooting hardware systemsExperience with hardware security and testingPossess excellent oral and written communication skills and effectively communicate details with all levels of managementExperience supporting hardware in DoD or government production environmentsPreferred Education, Experience, & SkillsFamiliarity with cross-domain hardware solutions and requirementsExperience with FPGA development, and signal integrity analysisExperience writing test scripts, performing hardware testingExperience with virtualization hardware platforms and high-availability systemsBasic knowledge of Agile developmentPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $107359 - $182510Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
