Gardener

Our garden and grounds crews work together to maintain high end gardens and properties. This position is seasonal, April through November. We have a set schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am-3:30 pm. A great candidate for our company is one who likes to get to work early, who brings a positive attitude, who can endure hard physical labor and inclement weather without complaint, is honest, open and communicative, who is willing to learn, and interested in improving themselves, our properties and our business. Our team works very hard and is rewarded with satisfying work with immediate results, and the enjoyment that comes with working outside in (mostly) great weather with incredible scenery. Job responsibilities include: Observing and monitoring plant and soil health in gardens Basic garden care tasks such as weeding, watering, deadheading and staking Fertilizing, composting and mulching beds Pruning trees and shrubs Maintaining tools, trucks, and work facilities Required qualifications: Valid driver's license Physical strength and stamina are necessary to perform this job, candidates should be able to lift 50+ lbs on occasion Strong work ethic, efficient and fast paced Ability to work effectively, independently and in a group Able to take direction, learn systems, and see all tasks through to completion Must have a positive attitude At least 1 year of horticultural or landscaping experience is helpful Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal Pay: $17.50 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: Paid time off Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday No nights Application Question(s): Why do you want to work for Solid Roots?
