The Club has a rich history, including MLS Cup titles and in-season tournament championships for both the Dynamo and Dash and is focused on building toward the next championships, inspiring and uniting the city of Houston through the sport of soccer and community outreach, and creating the most inclusive sporting experience and diverse fan base in the city and state.Purpose of the JobThe part-time Parking and Security Assistant supports the Security Manager in planning, coordinating, and overseeing all security operations for game days and special events. This role is heavily focused on pre-game preparation, real time event monitoring, and post event clear operations. The ideal candidate is organized, calm under pressure, and experienced in managing security personnel in a fast-paced live event environment.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPregame and Event Preparation (Day Before Game)Assist with pregame security planning staffing assignments and operational briefings.Review event schedules, security posts, VIP movements, and parking plans.Coordinate with internal departments and external partners as needed.Ensure all security staff are properly scheduled, informed, and equippedGame Day OperationsMonitor and supervise security officers throughout the eventOversee VIP escort operations, ensuring safety, professionalism and discretionMonitor back of the house and restricted areas for compliance and security risks.Manage and monitor game day parking operations, including VIP and restricted access areas.Serve as a point of contact for Security issues, escalations and real time problem solvingPost Game OperationsAssist with coordinated post events, clear outs of staff and guest in restricted areasEnsure secure shutdown of Back of House spaces and controlled zonesReport incidents, concerns, and operational feedback to Security ManagerQualification RequirementsPrior experience in event security, stadium/arena security, or large-scale operationsExperience supervising or leading security personnel preferredStrong situational awareness and decision-making skillsExcellent communication and coordination skillsFlexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidaysFamiliarity with VIP protocols and access control procedures is a plusPhysical and Work RequirementsAbility to stand and walk extended periodsAbility to work outdoors in varied weather conditionsAbility to respond quickly to emergency situationsKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other AttributesStrong interpersonal and communication skillsA proactive mindset and a willingness to take initiativeAbility to stay calm and professional in a fast-paced environmentInterest in working in sports, events, or hospitalityMaintains Organizational Core Competencies.Organizational Core CompetenciesAccountable Holds themselves (and when appropriate others) accountable for achieving goals and objectives.Collaborative Works collaboratively with others to achieve organizational outcomes.Progressive Open minded, accepting, creative, and innovative in approach.Values Driven Being ethical in decision making and operating with professional integrity.Agile Achieves personal and organizational success within a changing, dynamic and complex environment.
