Together, we bring MORE change to the world.Learn about the Danaher Business System which makes everything possible.The EHS Engineer is responsible for implementing and sustaining site Environmental, Health, and Safety programs that support regulatory compliance, injury prevention, and risk reduction. This role serves as a site-level EHS subject matter expert and partners with site leaders to strengthen safety culture, awareness, and accountability.This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Environmental Health & Safety and is part of the Environmental Health & Safety Department located in Lodi, CA and will be an on-site role.In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity ToImplement and maintain site EHS compliance programs and management systems in alignment with regulatory and company requirementsAssess workplace risks, monitor occupational exposures, and develop corrective actions and injury-prevention strategies using Danaher Business System risk assessment toolsLead or support EHS projects, site inspections, incident investigations, corrective-action closure, emergency preparedness activities, and EHS committee engagementInterpret Federal, state, and local EHS requirements; conduct regulatory audits; and deliver documented site-specific safety and environmental trainingSupport environmental and sustainability programs and metrics, including hazardous materials, hazardous waste, life safety, spill prevention, chemical inventory, energy, waste reduction, and water stewardshipThe Essential Requirements Of The Job IncludeBachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience OR Master’s degree in field with 0+ years of experienceWorking knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety requirementsDemonstrated ability to solve complex problems, assess risk, and develop practical corrective actionsExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organizationProficiency in Excel and data analysis, with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPointTravel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment RequirementsAbility to travel up to 5%, including domestic and international travel, with overnight stays as requiredAbility to lift, move, or carry equipment up to 25 lbs.Ability to stand for extended periods and perform work involving repetitive arm and wrist motionsIt would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:Environmental, Health, and Safety program implementation in a manufacturing, laboratory, or regulated environmentProject management, EHS data management and analysis, and influencing cross-functional stakeholdersCepheid, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
