Senior Business Development Manager
We are excited to be working with a leading global Am Law firm to engage BD professionals with a background in M&A, this role will be positioned at senior management level and we would like the opportunity to engage with individuals seeking to take a lateral move and ambitious BD managers who are seeking their first senior management role. Experience and understanding of M&A as a practice group would be advantageous, along with the desire and interest learning and developing people management skills. You will be working with an experienced group of senior leaders based in New York, giving you a great environment to build and develop your managerial and leadership skills. Core duties will include: Working with the Director for the group, developing and implementing strategic marketing and business development plans for the M&A group, to develop on the practice and firms objectives. Form advisory relationships with the partners in the M&A group, to help raise the firms brand and reputation in the market, working with the collective group but also individual lawyers on this. With the central marketing and communications function, be involved in strategic campaigns and projects specific to the M&A group, you will also work closely with the events team to organize a program for the partner group. Manage the team and take an interest in helping the juniors develop their careers and continue their progression within the firm. Take ownership for the bids and pitch process for the M&A team, overseeing the process and delegating tasks as and when required.
