Fund Accounting Director

Brewer Morris are proud to be partnering with a high-growth, global private capital fund administrator, renowned for its scale, technology-led platform, and strong reputation across the alternatives market.With $1T+ in assets under administration, significant headcount growth, and continued global expansion, including a major investment in its New York headquarters, the business is continuing to scale its US platform as part of an ambitious growth strategy.We are supporting the hire of a Fund Accounting Director, a senior leadership role offering full client ownership, team oversight, and exposure to a wide range of complex private equity funds and structures.Key responsibilities:Lead the day-to-day accounting and fund administration across multiple client relationshipsTake full ownership of financial reporting deliverables, including capital calls, distributions, financial statements, waterfalls, and investor allocationsAct as the senior point of contact for clients, managing relationships at an executive levelOversee complex fund structures and transactions, ensuring technical accuracy and best practiceLead, mentor, and develop teams across multiple levels, driving performance and quality of deliveryReview and sign off on all outputs prior to Managing Director reviewManage relationships with auditors, legal counsel, and other external stakeholdersDrive process improvements, operational efficiency, and support strategic initiativesWhat they are looking for:7+ years’ experience in private equity fund accounting, coming from a Big 4, Tier 2 firm, or another fund administratorStrong focus on private equity funds, essentialProven experience in leading client relationships and managing multiple mandatesDemonstrable team leadership and supervisory experience (5+ years preferred)Advanced technical knowledge of US GAAP (ASC 946) and complex fund structures (SPVs, co-invests, credit/mezzanine exposure beneficial)Strong experience with waterfalls, capital activity, and investor reportingComfortable operating at a senior, client-facing level in a fast-paced environmentMust be eligible to work in the US (no visa sponsorship available)
