Demand Planner - Apparel

Job Summary: The Demand Planner will be responsible for developing and maintaining production and inventory plans to ensure optimal stock levels across our various sales channels. This role will involve analyzing sales data, forecasting demand, and collaborating with design, production, and sales teams to manage inventory flow, minimize excess stock, and meet sales targets. Key Responsibilities Demand Planning & Forecasting: *Analyze historical sales data and market trends to forecast demand for upcoming seasons and product lines. *Create and manage sales forecasts for all product categories, ensuring alignment with business goals and market demand. *Work closely with the sales, design, and production teams to develop accurate and timely demand plans. Inventory Management: *Develop and execute inventory strategies to maintain optimal stock levels. *Monitor inventory flow, ensuring products are available to meet customer demand while minimizing overstock and backorders. *Identify slow-moving inventory and recommend strategies to optimize stock levels, including markdowns, promotions, or liquidation. Production Planning: *Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely manufacturing and delivery of products based on demand forecasts and inventory needs. *Coordinate production schedules with suppliers and factories to ensure timely replenishment of inventory. *Monitor production timelines to identify and mitigate potential delays or disruptions in the supply chain. Reporting & Analytics: *Track and analyze key performance metrics, including sales, inventory turnover, and product lifecycle, to provide insights and recommendations to improve planning and inventory processes. *Generate regular reports on inventory levels, sales performance, and forecast accuracy to inform key business decisions. Collaboration: *Partner with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, sales, design, and production, to align on seasonal plans, new product launches, and inventory needs. *Maintain open communication with suppliers and vendors to ensure production capacity and timelines are met. Requirements: *4-5 years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, or supply chain management, preferably within the apparel industry. *Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights. *Proficiency in planning and forecasting software, as well as advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. *Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally. *Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. *Knowledge of the apparel production process and supply chain operations. Preferred Qualifications: *Experience working with FashionGo, and Faire. *Knowledge of fashion trends, seasonality, and product lifecycle management. *Previous experience in a similar role within the fashion or apparel industry. *N41 ERP knowledge is a plus. *Ability to speak Korean is a plus.
