The ideal candidate will create a positive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment that supports early childhood growth in literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional learning.This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships with students, families, and colleagues. The teacher will plan and deliver instruction aligned with school and state standards while fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.This position reports to the Elementary Principal and follows a contracted schedule of 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 185 days per year.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with curriculum standardsSupport early childhood development, including foundational literacy, math, and social-emotional skillsCreate a structured, safe, and positive classroom environmentAssess student progress regularly and provide timely feedback to students and familiesMaintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performanceCommunicate effectively and professionally with families, staff, and administrationUtilize technology and instructional resources to enhance learningManage classroom behavior using school-approved systems and positive reinforcement strategiesParticipate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), staff meetings, and ongoing professional developmentCollaborate with colleagues and administration to support school initiatives and student successPrepare students for state-required assessments as appropriateUphold Lincoln Academy policies and model professionalism, integrity, and a growth mindsetUphold Lincoln Academy core values.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's preferred)Must hold or be eligible to obtain a Utah teaching licensePrior elementary or early childhood teaching experience preferredStrong classroom management and organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCommitment to fostering a positive, student-centered learning environmentSalary & BenefitsSalary: Competitive and commensurate with education level and years of experienceBenefits include:401(k) with matchingHealth, dental, and vision insuranceHealth savings account (HSA)Life insurancePaid time offTuition reimbursementBonus opportunitiesScheduleMonday to FridayIn-person positionWork EnvironmentTeachers at Lincoln Academy are expected to actively participate in the school community, including staff meetings, professional development, and collaboration.
