EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP ACADEMYJob Description: Part-time Reentry FacilitatorEffective Leadership Academy (ELA) partners with schools and youth serving community partners providing students and educators with a rigorous curriculum for 21st Century Skills development, reinforcing essential success and work force development skills.POSITION:The Reentry Facilitator is a trained Effective Leadership Academy (ELA) team member whose primary function is to facilitate programs at the Circleville Juvenile Correctional Facility in Circleville, OH. Ideal for a person looking for a flexible role that positively impacts the lives of young people. This role will facilitate cohorts of students in person at the detention center over multiple sessions of the course of several months.The Reentry Facilitator is a trained Effective Leadership Academy (ELA) team member responsible for delivering engaging, skill-based programming at the Circleville Juvenile Correctional Facility in Circleville, Ohio. This role is ideal for an individual seeking a flexible opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people.ELA facilitates programming for new student cohorts every few months, with each cohort receiving up to 16 hours of instruction across multiple sessions. Programs are highly interactive and incorporate experiential activities, team-based challenges, and guided debrief conversations to reinforce key self-development, self-management, and workforce readiness skills.Each cohort includes up to 15 students and is led by two ELA facilitators to ensure a dynamic and supportive learning environment. Correctional Facility staff are present during all sessions, ensuring facilitators are never alone with students.Facilitators are responsible for leading in-person sessions, fostering a positive and engaging atmosphere, and helping students build the confidence and skills needed for future success.EXPECTATIONS:Facilitate ELA Reentry programming within area facilitiesCompile pre- and post-survey data for impact reports and grant reportingBuild relationships with Reentry staff and provide them with updates on programming and program impact reportsDeliver reentry programming employing ELA divergent learning pedagogy, serving as "guide on the side," to enable students to construct meaning from their experiences.Manage the classroom and participants during training by tracking attendance, addressing inappropriate behavior, and documenting performance, both strengths and development needs.Administer the pre/post assessments and develop program impact reports.Form and maintain relationships with students and build community and rapport, motivating and inspiring them, giving them confidence to make positive choices in their lives for success in school and beyond.Maintain open communication to report any potential and/or current issues with ELA Senior Leadership TeamResponsible for all administrative tasks related to program/program preparation, including preparation of program materials/program review/updating PowerPoints to adjust for time and facility-specific language.Participate in ELA training and professional development.Attend required ELA staff meetings.Work collaboratively and bring a positive mindset to teamwork.Creatively solve problems and bring new ideas for efficiency and growth.Collaborate with ELA staff on a variety of daily administrative tasks and special projects.HOURS OF WORK:The part-time Reentry Facilitator position will have varied hours as assigned in person at the Circleville Juvenile Detention Center.The part-time Reentry Facilitator position offers flexible, assigned hours conducted in person at the Circleville Juvenile Correctional Facility. Scheduled programming will take place during standard weekday business hours, typically between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.REPORTS TO: ELA Head of Talent AcquisitionQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in education or associated fieldCommitted passion to making a difference in the lives of youthExperience working with diverse populations of youth, preference of experience working with youth in detention centersStrong skills in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and emailStrong organizational skills and attention to detailTeam player and strong interpersonal and communication skillsHigh energy and positive mental attitudeAbility to adapt to changing situationsMaintains confidentiality of all student informationAdheres to the ELA curriculum with fidelity, as well as all copyright and trademarksDesire to grow within the organization is preferredHourly Rate of Pay: $28/hrA FBI - BCI background check is required for this role in addition to Circleville Juvenile correctional facility required background checking.
