Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Cook to lead our culinary and food service operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves overseeing kitchen activities, managing food preparation, ensuring food safety standards, and coordinating menu planning to meet the needs of our diverse clientele. The Head Cook will play a pivotal role in maintaining high-quality service in a fast-paced environment, fostering team development, and upholding the integrity of our culinary offerings. Responsibilities Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, dietary aides, and food service personnel to ensure efficient operations Oversee menu planning, ensuring variety, nutritional value, and adherence to dietary guidelines Manage food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling procedures at all times Coordinate catering events and special meal services with attention to detail and customer satisfaction Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage kitchen equipment maintenance Train staff on proper knife skills, food handling, sanitation practices, and safety protocols Monitor daily operations to optimize workflow and ensure timely meal delivery Uphold a clean, organized kitchen environment aligned with health standards Qualifications Proven experience in dietary department roles or as a dietary aide within healthcare or hospitality settings Strong background in menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, and food service operations Extensive culinary experience including fine dining, catering, or restaurant environments Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques Previous kitchen experience with leadership responsibilities preferred Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively This position offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated culinary professional to lead a talented team while delivering exceptional dining experiences.
