Lead Capture Manager

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Lead Capture Manager – Army or Air Force to support a company focused on delivering advanced AI, cybersecurity, cloud, and digital transformation solutions across the Department of Defense. This position is hybrid in Tysons, VA. The Lead Capture Manager – Army or Air Force will lead and own strategic capture efforts across either Army or Air Force portfolios, driving opportunity shaping, customer engagement, and proposal execution for high-value pursuits. This role directly supports mission-critical modernization efforts impacting national defense.ResponsibilitiesPartner with the BD Executive to identify, qualify, and prioritize strategic Army and/or Air Force opportunities aligned to mission and growth objectivesLead the full capture lifecycle for complex pursuits, from early shaping through proposal submissionDevelop and execute capture strategies aligned with service-specific mission needs, funding timelines, and acquisition pathwaysBuild and manage cross-functional capture teams including BD, solutioning, proposal, pricing, contracts, recruiting, and deliveryCultivate trusted relationships with Army and Air Force decision-makers and key industry partners while driving competitive analysis, win themes, and differentiated value propositionsRequired Qualifications10+ years of Capture Management experience within the Defense market supporting Army and/or Air Force customersDemonstrated success winning complex full-and-open or large small-business opportunitiesHands-on capture experience with direct ownership of opportunity shaping, customer meetings, and capture portfolio managementDeep understanding of federal acquisition processes and contract vehicles (IDIQs, GWACs, BPAs, OTAs)Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree and/or Shipley certification preferredActive or eligible to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearancePrior military service within the last 10 years (Army or Air Force strongly preferred)Experience in mid-sized firms where capture managers personally run captures rather than handing work offCompensationSalary Range: TBD depending on experienceFull Benefits PackageKeywordsLead Capture ManagerArmy CaptureAir Force CaptureTS SCI, Defense Capture Management, DoD Business Development, Strategic Capture, Proposal Management, Federal Capture, AI Defense, Cybersecurity Defense, Cloud Solutions, Digital Transformation, Tysons VAJ-18808-Ljbffr
