Cargo Agent

*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated Cargo Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carrier sales, logistics, and customer relationship management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment within the transportation industry. *Responsibilities* - Coordinate and track shipments from origin to destination - Communicate with carriers to ensure timely delivery of cargo - Utilize AS400 or similar software for data entry and tracking - Manage customer relationships and provide exceptional service - Ensure compliance with FDA regulations for relevant shipments - Assist in logistics sales efforts and contract negotiations - Handle freight documentation accurately and efficiently *Experience* - Proven experience in cargo handling, carrier sales, or related field - Familiarity with AS400 or similar logistics software is a plus - Knowledge of 3PL operations and logistics sales strategies - Understanding of FDA regulations for cargo handling - Strong sales skills and ability to build customer relationships - Proficiency in customer relationship management tools - Excellent organizational and communication skills Job Type: Contract Pay: Up to $50,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Paid time off Schedule: 8 hour shift Choose your own hours Day shift Monday to Friday Morning shift No nights No weekends Experience: Logistics: 1 year (Required) Work Location: Remote
