HVAC Commercial MF Installer/Tradesman/Journeyman Reports To: Field Foreman Shift/Hours: 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Position Overview Under direct supervision of the Lead Installer, an HVAC Commercial MF Installer will assist in the installation of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems in commercial buildings. Installations will be up to code and Villara's exceptional quality standards. Technical Responsibilities of the JobInstall vents, duct work (flex and metal), plenum, equipment and registers in residential and commercial buildings using hand and power tools according to code and established company procedures.Measure and cut sheet metal by using hand and power tools.Move materials from delivery area to installation area.Set and place forced air and A/C units.Assembles bags of pre-assembled air handling systems by taping, caulking and/or Panduit strapping at common attachment points according to plans.Clean up all debris on the job site and sweep up sawdust.Exercise caution when operating or using tools and equipment and follow safety procedures.Other duties as assigned by Supervisor and Management.Set of plans, note pad and pen to take notes given by Foreman/ Supervisor Behavioral Responsibilities of the JobDesire to learn and master all aspects of installing HVAC systemsReliable TransportationProblem solving and quick conflict resolution skills.Self-motivated, organized with a can-do attitudeDemonstrate initiative to complete assignments and obtain resultsAble to work independently and as part of a changing teamCommitted to creating and participating in a positive workplace cultureCapable of providing excellent internal and external customer interactionsAble to remain calm and handle stress wellCommitted to arriving on time and ready to workCommitted to follow safety proceduresAppropriate time taken for rest and meal breaksUse of personal cell phones for emergency or while on rest and meal breaks only Leadership ResponsibilitiesSelf-leadership capabilities - the ability to lead yourself to meet your goals and those of the companyAbility to lead from within the team, and to offer assistance and guidance to other team membersLead in the development of your own career with the assistance of the Skills Matrix and Dozuki Standard Work App Training/CertificationPrior construction or HVAC experience a plus EducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferredProficiency in mathematical concepts such as basic algebra and geometry. Working conditions and management style:Subject to adverse weather conditions - extreme heat and coldJob sites can be loud and dustyAble to use basic hand tools and power tools.Must be able to travel from job site to job siteMust be able to transport tools and a ladder to multiple job sites if neededMust be able to ascend ladders to heights of eight feet or higher, and descend ladders, scaffolding, stairs and inclined surfaces.Able to work in high areas including rafters and roofs in elevated areas up to 8 stories.Able to exert physical strength necessary to move objects weighing eighty plus ponds from one level to another.
