NGM - Geology Superintendent

Geology Team LeaderProvide technical and operational leadership to the site geology team, including geologists and technicians, with accountability for safety performance, development, and delivery of high-quality geological outputs. The role is responsible for optimizing orebody knowledge and maximizing asset value through effective geological modeling, grade control, and resource conversion.ResponsibilitiesPrimary responsibilities and tasks:Lead and mentor a team of geologists and technicians, ensuring technical and professional development, focused on building a world-class teamEnsure safety KPIs are defined and delivered by the entire teamOwn and execute strategic conversion drilling programs focused on resource and reserve conversion supported by strong geologic interpretation and consideration for mining and processingOwn and execute grade control drilling programs to effectively de-risk the near-term planEnsure technical knowledge for geological mapping, drilling and logging programs has been adequately captured and integrated into models and resulting planEnsure detailed mine plan reviews with consideration for geologic risk and execute mitigation plan for near term and LOM planBuild and maintain collaborative internal relationships with key departments (Engineering, Operations, Process, Environment, Growth, Safety and Finance)Monitor departmental KPI's to ensure agreed work programs, drilling, cost and ounce delivery targets are metQualificationsEducationBachelor of Science degree with equivalent experienceExperienceOver ten (10) years' experience in mine geology or exploration providing expert competencyMinimum five (5) years' in a senior role managing a team of technical and supporting technician rolesCore Values & Company DNAZero Harm WorkplaceBecause our people are our greatest asset, safety is of paramount importance.
