Foundry Production Worker

Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation and pouring of molten metal into molds, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
Operate and maintain various types of machinery.
Support the setup and adjustment of machines, lathes, spectrometers and other fabrication equipment for precise production runs
Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances
Use hand tools and power tools for material handling, assembly, and minor repairs as needed
Support forklift operations for material movement around the foundry floor while adhering to safety standards
Drive forklifts, skid steers and loaders.

Skills
Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes
Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings is a plus
Ability to operate hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments accurately
Understanding of safety procedures related to general foundry work
Mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn
Strong attention to detail with excellent hand-eye coordination for quality inspection tasks
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
